Federica Massimi is an Italian artist from Rome. With a background in communication and interior design, she began working with ceramics in 2019 and developed her own distinctive visual language. In her studio, she creates expressive, handcrafted ceramic pieces that move between functional objects and sculptural works. Each piece is shaped and finished by hand using a local white clay blend, gaining its own unique character through subtle variations in form, surface, and glaze. Her work is defined by a direct engagement with the material and its balance between resistance and fragility. She draws inspiration primarily from the plant world and its intense colors, which are especially reflected in her fruit-inspired ceramics.
