Traditional family-owned business
For more than 50 years, the family-run candle workshop Kerzenfarm Hahn has been designing and producing its candles in Nienbüttel, Northern Germany.
Founded in 1976 by Michael Hahn (pictured on the right, next to his wife Christine Boldt-Dietrich), the workshop is now led by the second generation, with owner Mareile Dietrich and managing director Niels Bendig (pictured on the left).
Handcrafted to the highest quality standards
Traditional candle craftsmanship
All candles available at mikkaneo are handcrafted by the family-run workshop with great attention to detail and using traditional techniques. Thanks to this artisanal production process, the candles are of exceptional quality. Unlike many other candles, they burn calmly, evenly and cleanly, without sooting or dripping.

All candles are produced in the workshop’s own facilities in Nienbüttel, a neighboring village of the world famous Wacken Open Air metal festival.
All raw materials used for the candles, from waxes and wicks to dyes, are sourced exclusively from Germany. They are RAL certified and meet European quality standards. Thanks to short supply chains, controlled sourcing and decades of experience, all candles are 100 percent Made in Germany.
100 percent sustainable
Pure and natural with no additives
For the hand-dipped dip dye candles, only highly refined paraffin from Germany is used. The wax is purified of all impurities and unwanted by-products through an elaborate hydrogenation process at very high temperatures and under high pressure. It complies with the RAL quality mark RAL GZ 041 for candles and even meets the strict purity standards of the food sector. The wax burns without residue, is considered harmless to health, does not accumulate in the environment and has no adverse ecological effects.
The dyes used by the candle workshop Kerzenfarm Hahn have been specially developed for the candle industry, are also RAL certified and are approved within the EU for use in children’s toys.
The handcrafted beeswax candles are made from 100 percent pure beeswax of German origin. The wax is purified using a special process without chemical additives. It is also subject to strict contaminant controls and is therefore free from mechanical impurities. Only in this way are the unique natural color and the characteristic subtle beeswax scent fully preserved. All candles are fitted with wicks made from 100 percent cotton.
