More about the artist Soo Burnell:
Soo's stylized works, which draw inspiration from many art forms, from architecture and painting to film and fashion, are reminiscent of Wes Anderson's films.
"I love the geometry of the tiles, the lines on the pool floor, and the typography of the signs. After my first exhibition of the series, I traveled to London, Paris, Manchester, and Glasgow to expand my collection. I was inspired by the idea of conveying a slightly offbeat Wes Anderson feel, drawing inspiration from his color choices and dreamlike qualities, and adding a human element with the swimmers in each scene."
